St Edmund's is a relatively new Anglican church established in Roundhay - a leafy suburb of Leeds - at the beginning of the last century. It is within the Diocese of Ripon and Leeds and Allerton Deanery. We share many activities and a monthly ecumenical service with our neighbouring churches of St Andrew's URC and Lidgett Park Methodists.

We are a community of God's people sharing a common faith. We are all at different stages on our journey of faith. Some are taking the first steps, others have taken more. We all travel at a different pace.

Although worship is at the centre of our life together there are many activities taking place during the week. For example -

• Climbers, Scramblers, Explorers and Pepper Poppers are groups for 3 to 14 years. Christian teaching and fun. There is also a group for those aged 14+.

• Uniformed organisations - Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides, Scouts, Rangers, Explorer Scouts for 5 - 19 years.

• Choir for boys, girls, women and men and a Music Group.

• The Guild of St Edmund (Mission) and Mothers' Union meet monthly.

• House Groups meet regularly to learn, to share, to support each other and pray together.

• If you enjoy walking, why not join the monthly Rambling Club.

• The Bereavement Visitors' Team are available to all in special need following a bereavement
  

Other aspects of St Edmund's life:

• The Communications Group is responsible for St Edmund's communicatioins strategy and publications.
  
  
• One City One World Group. This group seeks to embrace all social justice issues.
  
  
• The Parochial Church Hall has extensive facilities which are available for hire.
  
  
• The Scout and Guide Hall is also available for hire

• The St Edmund's Toddler Group meets weekly in term time

For a map of the area click here. The church is located at the junction of Lidgett Park Road and North Park Avenue. For disabled access to the church we suggest that you park in North Park Avenue and use the north entrance to the church - do not use the church car park.
