Garden Party - Sunday June 24th - 3pm to 5pm
This year Jill and Jon's international garden party will
be in aid of the Manuel Bravo project which provides legal help to asylum
seekers. It will be opened by John Packer, Bishop of Ripon, who is a strong
supporter of the project and has criticised government policy and media
attitudes: "People fleeing from torture, false imprisonment or death
threats deserve compassion and practical help and not the harsh treatment
they currently experience."
All members of the Roundhay churches, their friends and families are invited
to enjoy a summer Sunday at Jill and Jon's, 40 The Avenue, Roundhay where
there are new plants and sculptures.
Please will you help by:
publicising - we can provide posters; contributing - good quality raffle
prizes or products for stalls; selling plants, bric-a-brac, cakes, jams,
books; helping - with children, teas, entrance, games, competitions, setting
up; selling tickets.
Offers of help to Jill on 0113-2665165 or jill@vogler.demon.co.uk
