Crackpots Mosaic Trail
In August the intrepid ramblers shown below
in Tom Buckton's photograph set off on the 6½ mile trail around part
of Dallowgill (near Kirkby Malzeard). The trail links 22 mosaics depicting
local scenes and flora and fauna which might be encountered along the route.
The trail was created as part of a community project in 1997 by 'The Crackpots'
from Kirkby Malzeard. The photograph was taken near a ford where the mosaic
depicted a dragonfly. The heather was at its best on the day of our walk

If you would like more information about the trail you can download the
leaflet from www.nidderdaleaonb.org.uk/pdf/crackpots_web.pdf.
