Café Create
Create is a social enterprise catering company
set up by St. George's Crypt. It offers training and employment to former
Crypt users but the people in charge are all trained professionals. It will
cater for any kind of event - official functions, parties, celebrations,
etc with dinners, buffets, canapés. Contact Sarah Dunwell the Chief
Executive to find out more or look on their website www.createleeds.org
Their latest venture is Café Create at Holy Trinity Church, Boar
Lane, Leeds and Leeds Parish Church. Richard and I can vouch for the lunch
at Holy Trinity. Here the café is open from 8a.m. to 2p.m. Monday
to Saturday. We had home made soup with home made bread, a bacon sandwich
(again home made bread) and tea (fairly traded) for two. All this for the
princely sum of £5.25. We resisted the home made cakes and biscuits
but did buy some of the bread to take home.
So if you want lunch or elevenses in pleasant surroundings, offering very
good value for money then visit Café Create and treat yourself while
helping to change somebody's life at the same time.
