God's love has no boundaries
Joel Katoro (who is being sponsored by St
Edmund's) was visiting his family in Leeds during
January.
Joel writes:-
To my friends of the Church of
St Edmund's, Roundhay
Greetings to you in the name of Christ, our Lord.
I was filled with joy when I learnt about my
invitation to your Church. At the same time I was
confused because I did not know how to express my
thanks to you all for what you have done to my
family, particularly me. As I was trying to quest for
an appropriate way, I remembered a story of a small
boy who was wondering about how much God's love is.
He walked into a Church, knelt down in front of the
cross where Jesus is nailed and asked how much His
love for him is. Each time the boy indicated the love
of Jesus with the size of his hands, Jesus shook his
head. At last the boy stretched his arms widely, then
Jesus nodded. The small boy exclaimed, "Yes, now
I know why your arms are always stretched!" The
small boy then walked out knowing God's love has no
boundaries.
The love you have shown me is so abundant that I
can't forget it for a second in my life. Without your
help I would be a wanderer, I won't have reached the
stage in which I am now.
I thank you so much for your prayers for my
family. It was through our joined prayer that we came
to be united as a family, and the same prayer made us
meet as friends. Let's continue praying ceaselessly
for each other. May God shower abundant blessing on
each one of you.
I love you all.
