A Prayer for the Environment

Lord,
You gave us life itself,
You gave us the air we breathe, and the seed, animals and soil that feed us,
You gave us the land and the sea,
You gave us the Earth in stewardship for future generations.
Fill us with love for your creation,
Give us wisdom to understand how our actions sustain or destroy our environment for our children and grandchildren.
Fill us with compassion with those who suffer now from irresponsible and indiscriminate human actions, and all who will suffer tomorrow from what we do today.
Move us to save our Environment on Earth for the future of us all.
