Prayer for Change

Prayer, the practice of the presence of God, to put your mind alongside the mind of Christ. He Himself prayed for change; at Gethsemane ("take this cup from me…….") and was given not the passing of the "cup" but the strength to bear it.

So let us not look forward to the changes and chances of this life in fear: "my grace is sufficient for you".

One way to seek to bring about change is through the movement Christian Aid, working in many countries. Let us go out during the week, approaching our neighbours in friendship and with courtesy, and ready to explain our motivation.
