Prayer for Change

The Prayer for Change appears in the magazines of St Andrew's URC, Lidgett Park Methodist Church and St Edmund's.

Loving Lord, you know each of us by name.
In the Garden you speak Mary's name, she knows you and rejoices.
Thomas touches your wounds, knows you and marvels.
You walk with two disciples to Emmaus, in the breaking of bread they
know you and are astonished.
By the lakeside you prepare a meal for your friends, Peter knows you and is absolved and enabled.
May we rejoice at your call and marvel at your touch. Nurtured in your love may we know ourselves absolved and enabled. As we break and share bread in your name may we know you are alive in each of us.
Knowing and known may we never be the same again, risen Lord Jesus.
