The Rainbow

Once upon a time all the colours of the rainbow started to fight about which of them was the most important.

Green said:   I am the sign of life and hope.

Blue said: I am the colour of sky and sea.  I am the sign of peace.

Yellow chuckled:  I am the sign of laughter and fun.

Orange said: I am the sign of health and strength.

Red shouted: I am the sign of love, bravery and danger.

Purple boasted: I am the sign of Kings and Bishops.

Indigo said: Without me you are nothing.  I am the sign of prayer, silence and inner peace.

Then the rain spoke “You foolish colours fighting like that.  Don’t you know that God made each of you for a special reason, each person unique and different.  He loves you all.  Join hands together.  God will stretch you across the sky in a great bow as a sign of unity.

When we see a rainbow, let us remember that God created everyone in the World and He wants us to love one another and live together in Peace.
