Roundhay Environmental Action Project
Great Turnout For The 5th June Open Meeting
On June 5th REAP held its first open meeting
bringing together the Roundhay community to get involved in environmental
action. The evening commenced with an inspirational talk from Kate Harrison
from the carbon-neutral village Ashton Hayes (www.goingcarbonneutral.co.uk).
We then asked everyone to brainstorm and discuss seven key projects, which
had been developed from all the ideas received for the Roundhay Challenge.
We would like to thank everyone for their participation and enthusiasm.
There was a very positive response to the ideas and many people signed up
for the seven projects and for other volunteering opportunities. A further
meeting was set up for June 23rd which we will report on in a future magazine.
