Roundhay Environmental Action Project (REAP)
STOP PRESS - the next REAP open meeting will
be on 19 March and not 5 March as previously advertised. The open meeting
will be followed by a talk by Professor John Brindley from University of
Leeds, on the 'Science of Climate Change' with opportunity for questions
and discussion. The talk is the first in a series of expert discussions
organised by the Education Group. Everyone is welcome so please join us
at Lidgett Park Methodist Church Hall, on Thursday 19 March from 7pm for
the open meeting and from 8pm for the talk. Expected to finish at 9.30pm.
The March Oakwood Farmers' Market will see its first anniversary. To commemorate
the occasion, there will be a special party held on the market day, which
will be on 21 March. REAP are looking for any children under 12 who have
a birthday on 21st March to help join in the festivities. REAP is asking
for you to get in touch with them if you know any such children so they
can be invited to help cut (and eat!) a special birthday cake, which is
being made to celebrate this event.
