I've got friends in Girl Guiding
A couple of months ago I was surprised to receive a phone
call from a gentleman whose daughter is a Brownie in Romsey. His daughter
was taking part in Hampshire's Romsey Division Girl Guiding Thinking Day
Challenge for this year which was to send 500 badges on a journey across
the UK. The Brownie's father's relatives had originally come from near Halifax
and he had used the internet to look up Brownies in Yorkshire and came across
St Edmund's website!
I was sent a lovely badge depicting Romsey Abbey with the
words I've got friends in Girl Guiding Romsey. We put the names of all those
who regularly come to church parade into a hat and Lucy Millichamp was the
lucky Brownie to receive the badge and write a few words on a postcard to
the Brownie living in Romsey.
