Taiwan 2005 23rd June - 28th July

I left Leeds and St. Edmund's in September to go to Newcastle University. I love it there and quickly got settled into a new church (Jesmond Parish Church). I have travelled before with Rangers, spending a month in India last August and a month in Thailand two years before that. I wanted to see more of the world again this summer and this trip seemed ideal in the way that it allows me to travel with God at the centre of our plans...

This summer 4 of us from JPC are going to Taiwan as an OMF International Serve Asia team. We will be working under the direction of the Wilson's, a family who moved out to Taiwan several years ago as part of OMF.

The programme:
We will spend the first two weeks in Kaohsiung. Here we will be interacting with the church and the students through Sunday meetings, Cross Talk (Sat night Evangelistic Bilingual cell group), OMF prayer meetings, and maybe some coffee evenings. Our major event is running an English teaching camp, with a view to sharing the gospel with students. This will be the 1st - 4th of July.

On the 15th of July we travel to Hengchwun for our joint mission trip with the Taiwanese church based on oral Chronological Bible story telling.

After a few days holiday we fly to Hong Kong. While we are there we will work for Crossroads, a charity that takes Hong Kong's quality superseded goods and redistributes them to people in need.

Want to see follow our progress and see photos? Our journal on
http://www.omf.org.uk/journal2003/j_home.asp?ID=43225& will be updated with news, photos and prayer requests. You could even leave us a message.

I would appreciate your support through prayer.
