Pitching the Tent

An exciting event for children and young people at St Edmund's and for members of our uniformed organisations, aged 5-18, called "Pitching the Tent" and it will be held on the evening of Friday 24th September.

Set in the desert, it will involve all kinds of activities such as

walking the labyrinth
mini-tent building
camel races
messy-banner making
a dark catacombs experience
fishing
stone decorating
eating quail and manna
an Oasis

We will also gather to sing, reflect and pray in an enormous Tent of Meeting in the church. For young people over 11 there will also be the chance to camp the night in the church. However, younger children will have their own period of the evening. The final closing date is Sunday September 19th. For more information contact the clergy or the uniformed leaders.
