Portions of Nathanael's diary
- written during his recent visit to Thailand

(Nathanael Knowles and his mum and dad recently enjoyed a trip to Thailand)

Thursday 10th February
Today I left Song and drove to Phitsanulok. I stayed in a hotel called Topland hotel. I went riding on an elephant called Hongcam. Some of the elephants had a show to play. I saw an elephant bath in the water and I saw five baby elephants, one was playing football.

Friday 11th February
This morning I drove to Kochan to meet the person who I sponsor called Komkrit. Komkrit was very shy and so we needed to bring one of his friends called Keane. After going to Komkrit's house we went to swim in a river and I got bitten on the arm and the knee. Then I went to an arcade. And I went in a ballpool. Komkrit and Keane were ace.

Sunday 13th February
Today I had breakfast and then went to Bangrakam church. I met Komkrit and Keane again and I played football and the score was 1 : 0 to the team I played for. I had lunch at church.

Mum's footnotes:
We sponsor Komkrit through CompassionUk - a superb Christian organisation that works through indigenous Christian groups to care for the physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs of children and their families in over 20 countries world-wide. St. Ed's currently supports Compassion. You can find more information at www.compassionuk.org or 01932 832253.

The Christians who work at the project that supports Komkrit and his father are a part of Bangrakam church. Only 2% of Thailand is Christian - you can imagine how alive in Christ they are!
